EcoLuxia began with two people who had each been exploring sustainability and water from different experiences, eventually arriving at the same realization: there was an opportunity to build something bigger than a single product.

Almaha’s sustainability journey began in 2021, when she began looking differently at the relationship between everyday consumption, the environment and gratitude for the world around her.
Her journey into the water industry began with water ionization technology. Over the following five years, she developed a deeper understanding of water consumption, bottled water and the environmental impact of the systems surrounding them.
But the more she worked with people and saw how water was actually consumed, the more she noticed a gap.
Filtration or ionization alone was not enough.
People still needed a way to serve water to guests. Organisations still needed bottles, storage, cleaning, distribution and practical infrastructure. The individual product could solve one part of the problem, but not the whole system.
That realization became the foundation for EcoLuxia.
As Co-Founder & CEO, Maha leads the company’s vision, strategic direction, brand and solution development, with a focus on making sustainable hydration practical, convenient and scalable.

Ahmed’s interest in sustainability began long before EcoLuxia. From an early age, he was drawn to renewable technologies, particularly solar energy, which eventually led him to study Electrical Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy and Power Systems.
His path later brought him into the water technology industry, where he gained experience around water ionization technology and developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between technology, sustainability and everyday water consumption.
Over time, another question began to emerge:

Ahmed began thinking about what could be built around it — something broader, with a larger purpose and the potential to address sustainability at a systems level.
As Co-Founder & Partnership Director, Ahmed focuses on strategic partnerships, business development, relationships and identifying opportunities that can help EcoLuxia grow and create wider impact.
From an idea to a system
The idea behind EcoLuxia grew from a shared desire to address sustainability in a more practical and complete way.
The more we looked at water consumption, the clearer it became that changing the product alone would not change the system around it.
We wanted to build something that brings the different parts together — technology, infrastructure, reusable packaging, hygiene and the way people actually use water.
That became EcoLuxia.
Not simply a different way to provide water, but a different way to think about the system behind it.
